Here is my servant, whom I uphold, My chosen in whom my soul delights” Isaiah 42:1
There is no doubt the Lord delighted in His servant, Eleanor Manning. The truth is, we all did.
For Operation Inasmuch, she was there in our beginning days as we prayed over what God was calling us to do. She listened quietly to our Founder, over a glass of tea, to the dreams of building a new ministry for the struggling of our community. Then she took action. Her amazing generosity began and has never wavered over the last fifteen years. Eleanor Manning gave, not because she could, but because she cared deeply for others.
For Mrs. Manning, giving wasn’t simply writing a check. It was serving breakfast to the homeless with a twinkle in her eyes and sharing that beautiful smile with folks hungry for a loving touch. And much to her credit, she instilled that same Christ-like loving service into her children, Ray and Carol who continue her legacy of gracious giving.
The Friends of Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch Endowment was created by Mrs. Manning years ago for our continuation. She wanted to be sure we had resources coming in each year to help fund our programs. Even though this precious soul is no longer with us, the Endowment will continue to grow and affect the lives of those yet to walk through our doors.
Thank you, Eleanor Manning, for trusting us with your gifts, love, and belief in our purpose. You impacted the lives of thousands of men and women and we will be forever grateful.
