With a new year, comes some new faces around here! A couple of weeks ago, we welcomed Kanesha Bryant, our new Community Engagement Manager.
Kanesha is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina four years ago to attend Campbell University. Though this was not her original plan—after being dismissed from a Physical Therapy program, she recalls, “I had to lean on God for my next steps.” She began researching school that were Christian based while also wanting to pursue Public Health.
She then found Campbell University that year, applied in July and got accepted the following month. As she recalled this, she laughed and said “I knew then it was a God moment, because I should have applied a year prior.”
Her background is a Masters of Science in Public Health and also acquired a Master’s in Business Administration. Kanesha found her passion in Public Health and explains, “I love learning our environment does impact the quality of life. And we aren’t just healthcare, we’re able to meet other people’s needs other than healthcare.”
We are so excited for Kanesha to join our Inasmuch family. We all can relate to God’s twists and turns in our human plans, which end up enriching us immensely. Kanesha explains, as well, “I learned my failures ended up being my greatest blessings. If I hadn’t had moved here, I also wouldn’t have met my husband.”
Kanesha is thrilled to be in our environment at Inasmuch, where we can share the Gospel freely and openly and it is encouraged.
With her role as Community Engagement Manager, she hopes to reach out to the community and attract more support for Inasmuch. “I also hope to raise awareness of our services and reduce the stigma of homelessness and re-humanize individuals.”
Welcome, Kanesha! We are thankful for your heart and willingness to serve with us!
